Det ljuvliga/The lovely

Solen skiner. Allt är underbart. Har rensat bland jordgubbsplantorna och sitter och njuter bland allt det ljuvliga. Och barnet leker ute i sin egen lilla värld. Och hjärtat flödar över av tacksamhet.

På min fönsterbräda/On my window shelf

När min äldsta dotter gifte sig för ett år sedan så köpte hon en myrtenplanta för att göra sig en krans att ha över slöjan. Jag fick några sticklingar och de har nu stått länge och växt till sig.

Man kan se dem här i den svarta krukan till vänster. (Till höger står mina fuchiasticklingar som jag också planterade om i var sin egen kruka. Men de är inte så spännande att titta på just nu, men förhoppningsvis blir de fina plantor som jag kan ha på min skuggiga trappa till sommaren.)

Det finns sex myrtensticklingar och jag har satt dem tre tillsammans i var sin kruka.

De till vänster är lite större och dem har jag redan klippt bort alla skott på nertill på stammarna och virat dem runt varandra för att få till ett litet träd. De i den andra krukan ska få växa till sig lite innan jag gör likadant med dem. Det lilla "trädet" ska få vila sig lite efter allt mitt härjande med det och sedan ska jag börja formklippa det till ett klot. Kommer att bli hur fint som helst!

En liten fundering kring lampskärmen. Jag köpte den här för några månader sedan och bytte ut den gamla ljusa skärmen mot den här och ingen enda av mina familjemedlemmar har lagt märke till bytet, hur är det möjligt?

When my oldest daughter got married a year ago she bought a myrtle plant to use to make a wreath for her hair and later she gave me some cuttings from it. They have now been growing for a long time, as you can see in the first picure on the left.

Yesterday I repotted them, three in each of two potts, as seen in the second piture. On the biggest ones I´ve cut off all the green at the bottom and wreathe them around each other to make a little tree. I will do the same with the other ones  once they get a little bigger. Later I will cut the top to a ball, but right now I´m gonna let it rest for a while after all my fussing with it. I think they will end up locking great!

Sweetest mail ever

Look what I got in the mail today!

My grandchildren made these cute figures for me, a girl and a boy, just like themselves. Aren´t they such sweet darlings?! And the package was addressed to "Grandma" by my sweet girl.

Hm

When I posted my spring post I realised something most have gone wrong with my two earlier post so they were never posted, those about the old and the new year. So that´s why they are posted much later than they were supposed to be since I finished those pages in January. Oh, well, here they are anyway. My HD has been spending quite some time in the hospital this year so I´ve been rather stressed out.

New year

A lot of people are doing Project Life this year and I love looking at all the amazing things they do, but it´s not for me. Making a decided thing each week is too much for me. Maybe at some point I could do it but hardly a commitment to have to do it every week.

But I´ve decided to do Document: 2012 this year, but only with the divided page protectors and then I will put whatever ordinary scrapbookpages I might do in between those. Here´s my Title page.

I´ve just put some random photos there to represent our lives.

I have made the page for January (made only one for that month, on the backside of the title page, since I want to have a separate page protector for each month and want the scrapbook pages to go in between them), but will not be sharing it here since it´s quite personal for some family members. Sorry!

Old year

I finally got my 2011 year-in-rewiew pages done and here they are.

Right now my life is quite buzy since my DH is ill, so I didn´t have much inspiration to write a lot so it got to be almost just photos this time, but it´s ok.

Vårtecken/Signs of spring

Att det var så varmt i februari fick en ju alldeles att tappa alla begrepp om var i kalendern man faktiskt befann sig och vårkänslorna svallade. Nu är vi i mars och det ser ut att bli ännu en ljuvlig dag, om än inte lika varmt som tidigare i veckan, men det har frusit i natt, så än är det väl långt till riktiga våren.

Men titta här vad jag hittade ute i trädgården igår! Löften, även kallade rabarberknoppar. Är det konstigt att våren är min favoritårstid?!

Being so warm in February made you loose all the concepts on where in the calendar you really are and the springfeelings were running high. Now we´re in March and it looks like it´s gonna be another lovely day, if not as warm as earlier this week, but it was rezing tonight, so I guess it´s still a far way to go before it´s Spring for real.

But look what I found in the garden yesterday! Promisies, also called rubarb bums. Easy to see why Spring is my season, isn´t it?!

Pumpor och solrosor är två växter som verkligen gör mig lycklig. Inköpta häromdagen, men det dröjer innan jag kan så just de här. Men lite mer persilja kanske man skulle så, kan aldrig få för mycket persilja! Börjar väl bli dags att kika igenom sitt fröföråd och se vad som finns där.

Pumpkins and sunflowers is two plants that makes me really happy. I bought these the other day, but I guess it will be quite a while before I can sow these. But perhaps I should sow some parsley, you can never get too much parsley! I think I´d better take a good look in my seedsupply to see what I got.
